Just like Hollywood rolls out the 10 sexiest women, the sexiest man alive and the richest celebrity on the planet, I suppose its only fitting that NBC Dateline does its version of The 10 Messiest Celebrity Meltdowns that all of America and beyond have been made privy to ...

10. Mariah Carey...the plaster seems to have started peeling with her making the stinker movie, "Glitter" . An album flops and she starts taking it  all off on TRL, with host Carson Daly  wondering what's it all about...frankly, I liked Glitter...Good that Mariah took a few  years off to get it together because she's back in a big way.

9. Amy (wino) Winehouse...This talented/soulful singer was a mess who won 5 grammy awards, brazenly saying "No, no, no, to rehab for an obvious drug problem in her chart topping song, 'Rehab'. Since then Amy have been photographed with bruises, missing teeth, appearing thin and emaciated, holding an infant while drinking, forgetting words to her songs at concerts and reportedly  smoking crack. In her defense, Dateline reports Amy did attempt Rehab, but, that only lasted for a hot minute...Ultimately, I think the world wishes Amy gets the help she needs.

8. Boy George who came onto the scene in the 80s singing "Do you really wanna hurt me...do you really want to make me cry?." loved that song! anyhow, George did a musical play, Taboo that was supported by friend Rosie O'Donnell. The play flopped. George was arrested on cocaine charges ...was photographed cleaning up garbage as he served his time.. "Do you really wanna hurt me?!"

7. Paula Abdul...She's still exhibiting strange behaviors. Stay tuned for more of "Hey Paula!" 

6. Mel Gibson... A great actor and director whose alcoholic binges caused racial slurs to escape from sodden lips...He lost me as a fan after that. 

5. Kiefer Sutherland..Drank a lot. exposed himself while in his drunken stupor. arrested and jailed for DUI.. Kiefer did the crime, paid his time and hopefully is back to give us more of 24.

4. Paris Hilton...famous for nothing Paris. She did the 1st sex tape with then boyfriend Rick Solomon. Did a stocking exchange with Britney Spears. Made a sexy hamburger commercial. arrested and served time for disobeying a court order forbidding her to drive...Life is never simple for Paris Hilton.

3. Lindsay Lohan...from that sweet little kid on Parent Trap to drinking, smoking, partying, playing boyfriend musical chairs to DUIs to fender benders and rehab, Lindsay is quoted as saying, "I can still have a drink" after a rehab stint, she was captured doing just that...Lindsay channeling Marilyn?

2. Britney Spears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Hollywood, is obviously not a celebrity, but,  the city reportedly have become a beat up city. a place that has lost its vision and creativity. With the writers strike, Oscar going to award winning foreigners , photogs following celebs like dogs looking for a bone and people just plain misbehaving, the consensus is that Hollywood has become over exposed. Dateline proposes that when compared to the discretion and coverup of old Hollywood studios for their stars, it appears that new Hollywood has suffered a meltdown...What do you think?
