Diesel is back, the same statement, the same style but now it's so New York, it's so street. It's right on the mark of hipster meets, retro, trendy and also still classic Diesel pieces. Diesel's mens collection isn't simply just masculine anymore, the're not afraid of colour which is something that's a lot of fun right now. Whoever is in charge has perfect timing because right now, people are ready for it. I say it's so New York because it's a cluster of things the average Joe wouldn't immediately put together. Completely eclectic, taking from different urban subcultures, even the women's line, tomboy meets techno colour. Don't get me wrong, Diesel didn't just throw in pink detailing and retro prints. In the midst of 80s rocker calligraphy, they threw in some dark denim and long work-shirts, reassuring their followers, the're still masculine and above all still Diesel. The classic Diesel boy has come out of his shell. The've got enough style to catch your eye but any guy can fit something into their own style and still make it look nonchalant. Plaid work shirts mixed with light coloured work-shirts with a bright yellow detail here or there. Every piece is simple enough, even if some in theory may be loud with the print or colour but the end result is that it's done oh so clean (secretly). At first glance it may look very relaxed and careless but a qucik peek at the collection I differ from that first impression. So masculine can have pink and green and be fun without being childish, the've kept it clean but added some funk.
So when you see the collection, you might fret because it's so right now and every other label is looking 10 paces towards the future. The fact is Diesel has perfected right now and has nothing to worry about in the future. They take street fashion and underground subculture as well as what Diesel truly is and what they represent and completely fuse both until you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. The moral of the story is that with this technique Diesel is always relevant.

They tone down the colour but still act like an "I don't care I naturally wake up this hot" carefree freespirit. Don't be fooled I wouldn't mess with these looks, that definetly says, I have it all together. Still, extract all the colour from the summer and it's still oh so Diesel, oh so urban and oh so right on the mark.
Diesel is back gentlemen...for awhile!
