If you are a registered at Monster.com chances are you already got an email from Monster's Chairman and CEO - Sal Iannuzzi informing you that your personal information might have been compromised.
It seems that hackers broke in and downloaded some 146k resumes but since Monster is not sure that this is the only time they got broken into or that they know all the users that are effected they have decided to email to all registered users. That’s the responsible thing to do and I think it’s very gutsy in light of the recent problems that Monster already got into.

So heads up everybody incoming emails from Monster might be phishing attempt, in Monster’s words: “Monster believes illegally downloaded contact information may be used to lure job seekers into opening a "phishing" email that attempts to acquire financial information or lure job seekers into fraudulent financial transactions.”
