This is my first post to this site and I am excited about jumping in and getting my feet wet as a blogger. I am a indie jewelry, apparel, and accessories designer and wanted to talk about the rise of artisan tailors (designers), metalsmiths, and jewelers making a living from their own hands and eschewing mass produced products. I think it's awesome!! It's a great way to recycle discarded items that we (human beings) created at the expense of someones sweat, and our precious resources... and it's also extremely creative! For just day to day wear I have found some of the best fashion and accessories on Etsy.com (my site is www.museacdonline.etsy.com - and find in general that the craftsmanship is amazing and since the items are created by someones own two hands there is more love involved. More love and positive energy. We are all connected. Fashion rocks and what's a better way to spend money than to support a starving artist??? It's a twofold relationship. You the buyer get a beautiful piece and the good feeling of knowing your money was spent in a good place, and the artist makes money which allows them to create another day!
