Hello my name is Nikole and I am a technology addict.
it all started the day i was born - my mother and i straped, and hooked up
to machines that measured every breath and fragile heart beat - as we cruised home in our 89' volvo, these mysterous coloured lights dangled in the sky, telling us when to stop and when to go. upon my return i was bombarded with flash photography, battery powered mobiles and toys. i couldn't even sleep with out the flashing light and gentle hum on my moniter, telephone calls from relatives flooded the lines, and video cameras filmed my pivotal moments, up until today, i was unaware of mine, and the worlds unending addiction to Technology


We, the human race have grown dependant upon technology. technology is constantly growing, changing and the next best thing is always just out of our grasp. No matter what we do technology is like a drug, we need something new to entertain us, no more is our own company good enough. we would rather drive two minute than walk the five, and i am sitting here on one of four computers in my house, with the radio blasting, light on, digital clock that has been flashing 12:00 for the past 3 monthes, the telephone next to be is showing voice mail, my ipod and cell phone in my purse dead - what im getting at is -- if we wiped out technology right now, we would feel the impact instantanously.

whats the first thing you do when the power goes out, run for a flash light, and call the elecrticity company, how about when your car doesnt start? you dont wanna make dinner? do you pop in a freeze dried meal into the microwave - we are all the same, and we all have a problem. with out technology, we wouldnt live in the two and three story houses we do let alone work when, where and how we do. people would die, without the technological developments in medical sciences.

Technology is the pace maker in our world's heart, we have it pumped through us from the day we are born.

My life, Your life, the worlds life with out technology would be like being born again, like getting the game over, go back to start card -- Totally life altering.
