To all those who need a getaway from this winter doldrum, there is a place I recommend highly.  Over the seas there is Maui, and the location is Kaanapali, I got a great deal on expedia.com, and I' m staying in the Hyatt Regency Resort.  The rooms are beautiful and spacious, and just for a small fee you can upgrade to an oceanside view.  There is a 1/4 acre pool complete with waterfalls, rockery, and in-pool bars.  You are right on the beach and there is access to cabanas and all the sand and surf and shine you can take.  

They have a spa here which is ranked very highly among the resorts in Maui.  It is called Spa Moana.  It is quite pricy, but worth every cent.  Their massages are to die for.

There is a local village you can take a shuttle to called Whaler' s Village where you can buy all your sundries and your necessary items.  In the hotel there is a shopping mall downstairs complete with Macy' s and a Sunglass Hut.  

I would recommend this place to anyone trying to get out of the rain and cold, who suffers from seasonal affective disorder (SAD), like I do, or who wants to get away for a while.  

I can' t think of a better place to be, so you should definitely try this place out.  It is destination #1 for me.

The hotel is complete with 5 star restaurants all around the resort, and there is a luau every single night for a nominal fee you get entertainment from dancers, tiki torches, and singing and a scrumptious dinner.

There is 24/7 access to a gym, spa, and tennis courts.

Come, you will be amazed...
