My daughter is now 2 years old and we're working on potty training and it's going well. But I wanted to write about how we came to the decision to use GDiapers. GDiapers are flushable and compostable diapers. We have all read about how diapers are filling up landfills and we did not want to contribute to this problem. I also did not want to use cloth diapers and have to deal with washing poopy diapers. Diaper services are available but when I read about how much chlorine and water is used by diaper services in washing cloth diapers, this also turned me off. In looking at the options available out there, I found GDiapers. I was so excited I couldn't wait to try them. Even before my baby was born, I brought them home and tried flushing them to make sure they would not clog up the tiolet. No clogs, so we stocked up!!
We loved these diapers from the start and we really loved the cute covers with velcro that attached in the back so that the baby could not open up her own diaper on a whim. :) Each time we flushed a diaper, we thought of how that was one less diaper in the landfill.
We do occassionally use disposeables, but most of the time, the few extra pennies I need to spend for GDiapers are well worth it in my opinion.
After years of the only options being cloth or disposeable, the flushable diaper is an environmentally friendly option available to those of us who don't want to wash cloth diapers at home.
Thanks GDiapers for such a wonderful product!
