I'm pretty excited. 

I love getting spa treatments, but I often feel guilty and unsettled about the mystery chemicals that are involved.  I did a spa search through Green People's very helpful green directory (you can search all over the country!) and found Priti Organic Spa right here in New York City.

Priti Organic Spa believes that getting pampered and beautiful shouldn't be harmful to you or the environment.  They are so committed to this philosophy that their products are all 100% organic and natural. 

I'm thinking, "Okay, define all natural."  Everything used in the spa is free of nasty stuff like toluene, DPB's, and formaldehyde.  Their nail polish remover is soy-based and even their slippers are biodegradable!  Plus, everything is cruelty-free, which means no animal testing and no animal bi-products.

According to the website, "Our green spa was designed with simplicity, and clean surfaces on mind. Bringing elements from nature indoors, to create a relaxing, non-toxic, eco-friendly, and sustainable environment."

Big-wigs like Monique Lhullier, Thakoon, Proenza Schouler, Twinkle, and Tse have all used Priti manicurists for their runway shows.  Hey, if it's good enough for them...
