I recently discovered an emerging talent whose work is just breathtaking!  His name is Peter Som, and he's only 3 years shy of making the 10-year mark in this industry.  The caliber of his designs is undoubtedly in the ranks of Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta.  What I love about Peter Som, is that he pulls off casual looks in such elegant ways.  Even his couture gowns flow beautifully and never seem too contrived.  It's so refreshing to find designers who blend ready-to-wear and couture looks seamlessly.  He lends his abstract prints to his educational training in art and art history.  I can't wait to see what he creates year after year...in my book, he's already the "It" Asian fashion designer in a very competitive European-driven market.  LOVE, love, love this...hope he only inspires other designers to follow in his path!!!
