Leave it to Diesel to inaugurate this year's Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami with a raucous poolside fashion show and celebration. The show took place yesterday at the Raleigh Hotel.

Diesel, known for their edgy urban swimwear, showed women's and men's pieces accessorized with unusual props like boxing gloves and helmets. It was all about the edge!

To add spice to the swimwear, Pharrell Williams' protégé Teyana Taylor of My Super Sweet 16 fame and singer of "Google Me" walked the show, while another of Williams' discoveries performed at the after party. Chester French, two Harvard alums who caught the eye of many a record label, were signed by Williams' Star Trak / Interscope records last spring and added their unique flavor to Swim Week.
