Hey! Yeah, yoga is so much fun. Can't wait to hear about your progress! I really like the downward dog pose and that warrior pose. I think I like them because they're like the only poses I can do! lol! Some of them are really hard and I sometimes fall over! :)The calming music they put is pretty funny and awesome too! I love those matts! They're so comfy! Yeah, yoga clothes are so cute. There's this store by my house called Lucy and they have all this really cute yoga clothes and accesories. I think they have a website too! I also love those stretchy H&M tanks and tops. They're so comfy and I usually pair that with my plum cropped pants that I got at Sports Authority. i love that funky elastic material they have on sports. They're so great! lol! Anyway, look forward to reading more of your columns! Talk to you later! :)

Your words are so inspiring and yes, wise! It makes me happy / hopeful when young people get that the elderly shouldn't be taken for granted , because they can teach us so much. Their journey is one where we still must go...appreciate your insightfulness.

Hi, I was looking for a more private place to write...missed that. You mentioned skin and hormones. Although I don't know your particulars, two different, well three things that can really help are: evening primrose probably about 1300 mg -2600mg a day. Comes in softgels. One young friend was told to take 5 pills (at 1300 ea) a day. I went eeee! However she feels ggreat and look marvelous. Youth can be so sexy, she is in her mid or late 20's. Another approach is to use MACA, a peruvian herb that balances your endrincrin system. Great for the adrenals, thyroid and all the hormone stuff. Whole Botanicals which is organic and prepared the way the Indians do it seems to be the best. Drink ALOE VERA juice. Aloe Life has a aloe and herb gel called skin gel. It is fantastic. For really hard cases, you Might want to add Michael's skin and.... doesn't use the word acne in it but your health food store clerk may knw the product. What you use internally is actually mpre important than what you put on topically! Both evening primrose and MACA also are chill pills. Evening primrose may work faster, MACA may work deeper. I am not a practioner, etc. I work part time at a health food store. You can always research any of these products to learn more.

Thanks for your kind words, but, far from a saint, just a product of being raised with simple morals and values. Everything else falls into place. liked your yoga sentiments by the way...see how it all somehow just comes together?

true there's pleanty of vintage inspired undies out there, but in my romantic imagination the genuine vintage undies were made of fine lace and real silk by hand made craftmanship. LOL maybe I should look it up as it's probably not true at all! Just to be clear though I'd never want to wear previously worn undies!!xx
By: Miscellaneous @ 04/06/2008, 09:12 AM
Great perm tips by the way. Thanks!
By: The_Style_PA @ 04/04/2008, 12:24 PM
LOL that would be totally gross, which is a shame because I bet there's some gorgeous vintage underwear out there!
By: Miscellaneous @ 04/04/2008, 07:55 AM
So glad to know there's more people obsessed with pretty undies than me!xx

Yes, two hours a day, really. And this is nothing new to me. Those are my LIGHT days. I appreciate the encouragement not to overdo things. Yes, I am a perfectionist and I do have a tendency to be compulsive. It's good to have you on my side. Thanks!
By: Christallin @ 03/22/2008, 06:11 PM
thankyou for your comment on my eczema article. It's really important for me to be able to share my story with people, as finding a way to manage my skin changed my life in so many ways. Perhaps initially I felt shallow letting my physical appearance bother me but actually I think it made me feel more down than I actually realised at the time. I doubt I would be on an it things website if I had just given up on ever feeling pretty! Thanks again!
By: Miscellaneous @ 03/22/2008, 09:45 AM
Good for you for wearing a bright sundress on a rainy day! Not many people seem to think about wearing bright colours when the weather's miserable. If they way we dress reflects how we're feeling I don't see why we should allow miserable weather to stop us from dressing like we're sunny!

Thank you for being a great cheering section for me. Please keep the suggestions coming!

Thanks for your comment. Being a part of myitthings has kind of pushed me to be more aware of my appearance (for better or worse...probably better at this point). I used to wear crazy clothes when I was a kid (my mum gave me a lot of liberty) but I toned it down as soon as I hit high school. Now it's time to break free again! -Q

You know what helps to build a greener wardrobe on a budget? My girlfriends and I schedule "Clothing Swap" Brunches once every 6 months or so. We show up at a friend's place with something edible to share, and a pile of whatever clothes we don't wear anymore, bought and never will wear and spares. We sit around and go through the items one at a time. Whoever calls out for an item first has first dibs on trying on and keeping the garment. We give new life to old clothes by sharing them with our friends. The leftovers that no one wants gets dropped off at a local women's shelter. I've picked out so many awesome work clothes, and fun everyday clothes for the cost of some brunchables, a glass of wine and a whole lot of fun with my girls. Also, it helps the environment as well! H&M's organic line isn't too pricey... but, I agree - start collecting the staples first and foremost!!
