Ratings cannot be taken for granted, not even when a successful show comes back to its slot this October.
ABC's "Pushing Daisies" first aired last fall season with a cute plot, pastel colors everywhere, and a very animated-like set. The show, like many others, got stuck in the writer's strike storm and hadn't had a proper comeback.
That is why a very creative mind at ABC took the series on a cross-country tour prior to the show's premier on October 1st.
The network started pushing daisies from LA this last Sunday 8/31 and is making its way to Times Square, planed to arrive a day before the premier.
In an airstream trailer shaped like the pie store, you'll be able to visit the store, enjoy some freebies, and try a pie. Go online, look for the daisy stop in your hood, and if it doesn't stop there you can always try one of their pie recipes.
I like the way ABC is trying to sweep their fans outside the box. It'll be interesting to see if breaking the online/preview mold will actually help their ratings.
Now, let me think which pie would i feel like having on 9/29...
