JetBlue's new terminal, T5, is set to open its doors this coming October at JFK airport.
T5 has a very futuristic feeling to it. The terminal is surrounded by big windows, plenty of light, playground-like floors, and might actually take your mind of taking your shoes off while holding your laptop for "security reasons".
But we have gathered here today for a different reason. Today will be the day when airport food courts will be redefined. No longer is Starbucks the flimsy ray of sunshine in our terminal, and that is on a very cloudy day.
The new food court at the terminal is featuring top meatpacking district chefs on your way to the gate.
Judging from the pictures released by NY Magazine, the variety of restaurants and their sleek designs, you won't even care that your flight is late.
You can order your food using a touch-screen monitor, enjoy a tapas bar, french cafe, or some top Italian food in different settings and comfort.
All i can say is with a birthday coming up in October, i think i know where i want to dine. Hey, it's not my fault i have to get on a flight afterwards...
