| About: HI, MY NAME IS MALIK S. YOU ARE PROBABLY WONDERING WHAT THE "S" STANDS FOR IN LAST NAME? HMMMMMMM, KEEP GUESSING. I'VE STUDIED GRAPHIC / FASHION DESIGN FOR THE PAST DECADE. I'VE WORK FOR SUCH COMPANIES AS DKNY KIDS, DDC LAB, AND JORDACHE. I ENJOY SEEING PEOPLE WEARING MY DESIGNS. IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I'M NOT ONLY DESIGNING FOR MYSELF BUT FOR OTHERS. AFTER HAVING MY IDEAS PERCULATING FOR A WHILE, I'M NOW INTRODUICING IT FOR THE WORLD TO SEE. Vine and Venetia is the name of my collection. The label is based on two sisters with two opposing attitudes towards fashion. My idea is to showcase different styles, influenced by both the street and the suburbs, under one brand. The Vine half of the label refers to the All-American girl. A style that is clean cut, basic and durable. The Venetia half of the label refers to a more risqué and cutting edge style with more of a street influence. She is trendy, chic, brand loyal and fashion conscience. Vine and Venetia will fulfill her needs for a brand that caters to both types of styles. The Vine and Venetia concept was founded in early 2004 to bring a diversity of styles under one label- the suburb style and the street style.
