A-Line Skirts:

A-Line skirts -- so named because the silhouette resembles a capitalized letter A -- are pretty universally flattering, since the the style skims over your thighs, makes your waist the smallest part of your body, and balances the top half of your body. It's not too full or form-fitting, and it's totally comfortable. Strictly speaking, an A-Line skirt has a flat front and is A-shaped (think two pieces of fabric simply sewn together on the two sides), laying relatively flat around the pelvis and flaring out. Pencil Skirt:

A pencil skirt is a great option for when you want to exude sex appeal, without exposing skin or wearing super tight clothing. Favored by sexy secretaries, the style keeps you covered but follows the contours of your womanly figure. That's because a pencil skirt tapers in a bit, which is perhaps more noticeable when you lay the skirt down on the ground. "Straight" skirts -- which don't taper as much -- achieve a similar hip-hugging effect. Just remember to keep it simple. It's meant to be form-fitting but never tight. If it's clinging to you, it will more than likely ride up as you walk like you can't believe. Also avoid ruffles, as they look very young. Think of it this way: your skirt is already short, and thus very sexy, so do you really need additional distractions like ruffles?
