Get dressed to the nines, grab a hottie, and head down to the St. Anthony Main by Nicollet Island for an old fashioned make out sesh. The placid Mississippi reflects the big city lights of downtown as you stroll hand in hand along the brick paved streets amidst slightly drunken beautiful people. Tempt your honey with some "dessert" afterwards, I recommend whipping this up earlier in the day.
STOUT CAKE 3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. vegetable oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. stout or dark beer
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. dark molasses
2 eggs
Whipped creamCocoa powderHeat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 12-cup bundt pan. Combine flour, soda, salt and spices. Beat oil, molasses, sugar and eggs until well combined. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Beat in stout or dark beer. Pour into prepared pan and bake until cake pulls away from sides of pan, about 45-50 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan and cool completely. Whip together the cocoa powder and cool whip. Apply generously to the cake. Enjoy!
