Lindsay Lohan has been in the news a lot. Known as a party girl, articles about her usually revolve around whether or not she had a drink at a party or, more recently, how appropriate her Marilyn Monroe photo shoot was.
For once, the big "Lohan" news has nothing to do with Lindsay--just a majority of the rest of her family.
According to Zap2it.com, Lindsay' s mom, Dina, and siblings Ali, Cody, and Michael will allow cameras to follow them around as they broadcast to the rest of us what I' m sure are very interesting lives. The series will probably focus mostly on Dina, who acts as Lindsay' s manager, and Ali, the 14-year-old sister who is trying to make it in the music industry.
Lindsay will not be on the show, and assumably neither will her father.
I am willing to give this show a shot, mostly because I find the Lohan family intriguing. I' m interested in seeing what Dina is all about. Perhaps unfairly, I blame a lot of Lindsay' s problems on the way she may have been raised. This is Dina' s chance to prove herself to be a woman who has herself put together and is always looking out for the well-being of her children. And if she doesn' t, well, at least that will earn her most famous daughter some sympathy points.
I also hope to see Ali making her dreams come true but hope she doesn' t get bogged down in the problems being a celebrity can raise. I have my fingers crossed that she will present herself as a likeable role model.
No matter what happens, though, it will surely be some entertaining television.
