It was all about the draping and rough unexpected layering of textures at Yigal Azrouel Spring 2009. As Yigal himself told me after the show he starts his creative process with the fabrics, and then goes into the draping, shaping womens' body in a very natural soft layers. Comfortable effortless chic only a confident woman can pull off. There is something edgy but soft at the same time about Yigal Azrouel's signature look, urban influences mixed with sophisticated draping, always modern, always unexpected.
