From Wonder Woman to Olympic medalist, the Heart Truth foundation celebrates women in their annual Red Dress show. What an exciting way to open the fashion week in New York!
The show, part of The Heart Truth campaign, sponsored by the U.S. National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) is set to help raise awareness of the nation's leading killer of women.
The biggest celebrity draw at the fashion week, the show was hosted by "Project Runway"s Tim Gunn and honored by front row cameos like Gerard Butler and Marcus Schenkenberg, not to mention Tori Spelling, Katie Couric, Susan Lucci, Hilary Duff , Amanda Bynes, Vivica A. Fox , Patricia Arquette and Jennie Garth who walked the runway.
The only celebrity missing was the #1 woman in the country - Michelle Obama. I guess even with all her love for emerging designers, NY fashion week isn't on her priority list, yet.
