Max Azaria loosens up with a paired down fall collection for BCBG. Yet, their signature ‘downtown chic’ flavor was infused just enough throughout the collection to keep the BCBG woman satisfied. It was all about the drape. Bounds of folds, tucks and pleating—upon raw velvets, liquid jersey and lush satins—created a soft, voluminous effect. The ease of this collection offered a range of throw-on-and-go staples for the urban woman. What the fashion house describes as a “futuristic syntheses” of stacked heels, encrusted clutches and liquid gold hosiery has certainly been seen before on the runway. However, the styling still seemed right for fall and looked fresh when paired with winter neutrals and distressed jewel tones.
