Vans — who have collaborated with designer heavyweights such as Marc Jacobs, Loomstate, Trovata — has tapped illustrator Keren Richter to doodle on pairs of totes and sneakers for the brand.

Made from the Wellesley model, the sides of the sneaker can be folded over to expose even more of Richter’s moody doodles. While both shoes have white uppers, one has predominately blue/purple drawings and the other (pictured above) sticks to a more warm/neutral color palette.

Richter’s first line of kicks with Vans will debut on June 1.
