John Galliano toned it way down for his 2009 Resort collection, shown in Paris last week.  Instead of the highly eccentric and bizarre fashion for which he is so well known under his own label, the clothes were markedly wearable. 

It seemed Vanessa Paradis was an inspiration for the look of the collection; the dark lips and tussled hair were reminiscent of the singer and and the clothes, bohemian and flirty, were similarly in line with her persona.   

The obvious hallmark of the collection were the bright, effervescent colors.  From the aquamarine on the leggings to the the bold Pucci-esque prints used in several pieces, there was an airy innocence present that made the collection succinct and successful for resort 2009.
