Keith Lissner, one of fashion’s freshest names, debuted his Fall/Winter 2009 bridge collection Monday night at the Jumeirah Essex House to a packed room of the stylish women who wear his dresses and the men that love them. Keith’s primary clients are the young, beautiful and well-connected women who make up Manhattan’s social set so it was no surprise that ladies such as Emma Snowdon-Jones, Rachelle Hruska, Tracy Stern and Real Housewife Alex McCord among others came out to support their friend and frequent dresser.
Keith is most known for his one-of-a-kind demi-couture pieces but the bridge collection, which will wholesale from $90 to $150, is accessible to the young woman who would crave the short-cut silk numbers while also retaining the look and feel of something unique and luxurious.
To achieve a look of effortless beauty and sophistication, Keith used satins and silk charmeuse, accessorized here and there with whispy feathers that are his trademark. Standout pieces included a Lissner take on the little black dress—one with a fitted body and silk floral detailing along the skirt as well as a colorful short pleated number that was easy to imagine adorning the body of a young starlet at a red carpet premiere.
Keith is definitely a designer to watch as he grows and diversifies his collection—with a gaggle of friends that includes everyone worth talking about in New York and the talent to back up his name, he is clearly the Next Big Thing.
