According to the new WalksScore.com website I live in a Walkers' Paradise. That's how their walk scoring system rates New York City. I couldn't agree more and this is what of the main reasons I love this city!

If you want to check the waslking score of your place just go to their website, enter your adress and see how you do. Walk Score calculates the walkability of an address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc.

Their score ranges from Walkers' Paradise ( Most errands can be accomplished on foot and many people get by without owning a car) to Driving Only (Virtually no neighborhood destinations within walking range. You can walk from your house to your car! )

It also gives you the list of all the shops and restaurants in that area, which could be very useful when remotely looking for a new place to live.
