Many of you might be familiar with the
Sonicare toothbrush that came out many years ago and revolutionized how people clean their teeth. Did you know that the lead inventor of the Sonicare has developed a skin cleansing brush that uses the same technology?
It’s called Clarisonic and it’s been featured on Oprah as one of her favorite things, which, of course “put it on the map” immediately. Like everything that Oprah endorses, it became so popular, instantly, that the company couldn’t ship them fast enough to keep up with the demand. We heard that there were even several week or more delays in shipment during the last holiday season. They were The Tickle Me Elmo for 30 and 40 somthings last Christmas! It was the gift that everyone wanted.
So, you may be wondering, does it work? Is it worth the $200 price tag? We’ve tried it and say resoundingly, “yes”! It’s amazing and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s so effective that many spas are now using it during their facials. If you’ve had a facial recently and you suddenly felt a strange rotating brush-like machine being used in circular motions on your face, it was probably the Clarisonic.
What we like about it is it’s ability to remove a significantly higher percentage of make up and dirt from your face than cleansing alone. The company claims that it’s six times more effective at removing make up while increasing product absorption. It also uses the same sonic technology as the well known Sonicare toothbrush to promote increased circulation and better exfoliation, thus achieving a deeper clean and eventually smaller pores. We also like that it’s fun to use, easy to hold and just plain feels good on the skin.
With the hefty $200 price tag, I’d say it’s for those truly “skin obsessed” individuals out there. You know who you are. This is a product that we have used, love and can confidently endorse.
You can find it on the Clarisonic website and many other retailers like Amazon, Nordstrom and Sephora. You might even be able to find it at your favorite spa and avoid shipping costs.
Right now, they even have a pretty pink version where $10 from every purchase goes to the fight against breast cancer. Love that! We noticed that they also carry a graphite color now, very masculine and perfect for hubby. Because trust us when we say that once he notices what it’s doing for your skin, he’ll be trying to sneak yours!
