There has always been trendy fashionistas that choose to make things themselves rather then paying inflated top dollar for their goodies.  I have always admired these women (and men) who can create their own accessories because it is much more individual.  Especially when you find out how they actually made it.  

 My DIY Project:  Red Rose Pin

 I initially saw this red rose pin in a magazine and fell in love with it.  Unfortunately I couldn't find one anywhere so I settled for a forever 21 white enamel rose cocktail ring.  Well, one day I was opening my bedroom door and broke the ring right off of its post (damn).  Then I realized that I could use this rose to make my coveted broach.  I took the ivory coloured rose and painted it red with nail-polish (to give it an enamel look).  Then I glued it to this H&M gold pin I had lying around and ... voila! 

I pin it to the bulk of my scarf and wear it proudly.
