Fall Fashion Forecasting
Fall Fashion Forecasting

The first concept that comes to our minds when we hear the word “autumn” is that the trees are changing from gorgeous bright greens to an array of reds, oranges, and browns. But, this doesn’t mean that the clothes we wear should change to the same color scheme of autumn trees.

Ironically, the “It” color for the fall season is pink. Instead of every woman looking like a fall tree’s twin, every woman can stand out like a nightclub sign in a bit of pink. However, no one should ever wear pink head to toe.

Can you imagine a girl wearing pink stockings, a pink dress, a pink hat, and pink oxford shoes? Seriously, no one wants to look like a pink poodle.Use the color pink as accents to your outfit such as a pastel pink coat, a pink hooded jacket or a pink cashmere sweater top. So, think pink this fall, but don’t think about it so much that you look like bubblegum.

This fall, fashion seems to be spouting out some farmer’s daughter chic. Yes, looking like a country superstar is so in! This doesn’t mean it’s time for all us to stock up on cowboy boots, but it’s time to embrace plaids, tweed and rustic colors.

Match up your skinny jeans with a plaid ruffle top or match up a pencil skirt with an orange tweed jacket. Trouser pants are the best bottoms to get for this fall trend. These pants will give you a more voluminous profile, but you can ease the volume with platform suede boot.

Do not shy away from picking out plaid shirt, or a long paisley skirt. All I ask don’t wear this all at the same time because you want to avoid looking like a person a part of a rustic play.

“Cover my body in leather, fur, sheer, and motocross.” This isn’t a request from Debbie Harry for her stylist; this is the rocker of the fall season must haves. Bow Blouses with leather pants. Motocross jackets with fur overlays. Chiffon shirts with black embellishments and leather ankle boots.

You can still show off your shape as the temperature decreases in leather pants or in leather leggings. Give your knits an edge with motocross booties and colorful fringe booties. Make your Victorian styled shirts go wild with a faux fur coat.

If you can adapt any of these trends, you will be set for the fall that is currently rushing in.

This is one of my favorite DVF looks for this fall. It's kinda refreshing to see deep hues of pink in fall wardrobes.

I think fall's main color is purple for 2008. It's whether you have warmer purples or cooler ones. You can add accents of very warm yellows and other warm colors. http://womensfashion.suite101.com/article.cfm/fashion_colors_for_fall_2008
