Life without Ipod headphones was something I thought I could not do without. Well, until they randomly broke this morning on the bus stop. I mean they had been going to hell for a while so I knew that death would come soon. For the first time in a while, I rode my many buses home without Ipod headphones in my ears and I was fine. I just pulled out my latest Elle Magazine from my book bag and just read a bunch of articles. And I did my best to tune out swearing from the young boys (which, should of been in school at 12 noon) in the back of bus. After reading the hearing chapter in my PSYC book about how ipod headphones cause noise induced hearing loss (that's the kind you can't get a hearing aid for), I thought to myself I'm going to be like deaf soon. I usually listen to music at max volume (I get that from my dad . . .if you hear loud music coming towards my house, I know my father is driving up the driveway) because I like to tune out into my own world and walk around with a soundtrack in my head. Now, if I get some more headphones, I'm def. listening to it on the lowest volume possible. Anyway, back to Elle Magazine, I read the article about Diablo Cody, you know the lady that wrote the screenplay for the hillarious movie, Juno and she used to be a stripper. I can't lie . . . I'm officially a fan. She doesn't give a (beep), she's a writer, she's funny, she has a cool tat, she's fierce, and she thinks nothing is wrong with having stripping a part of your resume. Now, I want to pick up that book she wrote called Candy Girl and read it. Oh, my goodness, I can't believe I just said I wanted to read something. Well, it's about time I fall in love with reading again. Also, I have fell in love with Scottish fashion designer, Christopher Kane because he is so quotable and now I want to meet him. Quote 1: "I like women who don't give a hell and just get on with life." And I love you for saying give a hell instead of give a damn. Quote 2: "For me, it's all about the ghetto and youth, about taking something pretty and making it pretty." And I love you for loving the ghetto and making great clothes. Another article I enjoyed was the one about Jade Jagger, the daughter of Mike "The Lips" Jagger launching her new clothing and jewelry line, Jezebel (Love the name by the way). I'm officially a fan of her as well. Quote 1: "I'm into the club feeling-of being part of a caravan chic posse. Life should just be one everlasting summer." And I love this because I want to know what the heck is a caravan chic posse and how can I get into one? Quote 2: " . . .uber-luxurious that you feel comfortable around the house but still go our in them" What is uber-luxurious? And now, I think I'm going to start saying that more often. Um, you're so like uber-luxurious . . .yeah. All these articles were written by Whitney Vargas and I love her writing. Also, now Maryland is hot now because Christian Siriano won Project Runway! I feel great about being from the MD because of this fierce young man that know how to curl iron his hair ever so effortlessly. However, I like Jillian clothes a little bit more. See how much you learn when you actually read! Yeah, I learned the hard way, but reading is fun when you're reading about something you're interesting in and not about like Camelot . . .yeah.
